Applying for a Loan?

When you apply for a mortgage with AmeriHome, we work hard to ensure that the loan process moves forward quickly and that you understand what is happening every step along the way.

Throughout the loan-application process, we will provide you with regular updates. You can also check loan status online 24/7, or email us with questions or new information.  And if you would like assistance, your AmeriHome mortgage banker is just a phone call away.

Here is an overview of the loan-application process:

STEP ONE – Complete a Home Loan Application

If you are refinancing, we will help you identify the best loan program for your needs.  One of our mortgage bankers will work with you to walk you through the application process, staying available for any questions you may have.

STEP TWO - We'll order a property appraisal for you

A property appraisal is a key component in the mortgage origination process.  An independent appraiser will value your property to provide us, your lender, a fair market value for your property.  This will determine the maximum allowable amount to be lent.

STEP THREE - Your Loan is Underwritten, Approved, Documents are Signed, and the Loan is Funded

We will manage the processing and underwriting of your loan and, upon approval, prepare your final loan documents in our offices.  Your mortgage banker will help locate a closing agent (escrow/title company or closing attorney) to handle the funding of your loan, along with any other required services, to ensure your transaction goes smoothly.

We will coordinate with the closing agent.  Typically, you will sign the final loan documents in their office.
